The Brick & Telsie Bundle
German Analog Character — From Input to Mix
Bring the character of classic German audio engineering to your entire recording and mixing workflow.
The SonicWorld The Brick and the Telsie S & T equalizers combine three carefully developed tools, each inspired by legendary German studio and broadcast equipment.
Start with the analog character of The Brick at the input stage. Its fully discrete Class-A transistor design and original Telefunken V672 transformers deliver exceptional headroom, weight, detail and harmonic depth — providing the foundation for your recordings.
Then shape and refine your sound with the Telsie S and Telsie T plugins.
Telsie S is based on the legendary Siemens W295b, while Telsie T draws its character from the Telefunken W695.
Both plugins capture the distinctive tonal qualities of these historic German broadcast equalizers while adding carefully selected features for modern studio workflows.
Together, they create a powerful combination of analog recording character and flexible digital processing.

THE BRICK
German Engineering. Class-A Character. Uncompromising Sound.
The SonicWorld The Brick is a Class-A, fully discrete transistor microphone and instrument preamp inspired by the legendary German preamps of Telefunken, TAB and Siemens.
Designed as an ultra-compact front end, The Brick delivers exceptional headroom, powerful dynamics and a rich, detailed sonic character that brings out the best in microphones, instruments and recording sources.
At the heart of The Brick are key components from the legendary Telefunken V672 amplifier card — including original V672 transformers.
These components come from an era when audio equipment was built without compromise. When transformer size, component quality and circuit performance mattered more than production cost. The Brick carries that philosophy forward, combining authentic vintage components with a carefully engineered Class-A transistor circuit.
The result is a sound that is fat, detailed and unmistakably high-end — with the weight, depth and character associated with the great German studio preamps.
Twin Gain
The Brick features up to +64 dB of gain and its unique Twin Gain architecture gives you far more than simple level control.
Gain 1 controls the amplifier attenuation, while Gain 2 controls the amount of negative feedback in the circuit.
Together, these two controls allow you to shape both gain and character, from clean and open to increasingly rich and harmonically complex tones.
The Twin Gain design also gives The Brick remarkable headroom. Even high-level sources can be handled without relying on a conventional PAD, allowing the character of the circuit to remain intact.
As a starting point, set Gain 1 fully clockwise and use Gain 2 to dial in the desired amount of amplification and character.
FET-DI
The integrated fully discrete FET-DI brings the character of The Brick also to instruments
Fast, dynamic and responsive, it delivers the kind of immediate feel that makes recording electric guitars, basses, keyboards and other line-level sources a pleasure.
The Brick provides two completely independent outputs:
- Output 1: Unbalanced 1/4" jack
- Output 2: Balanced XLR
This makes The Brick exceptionally flexible in both studio and live environments.
Record directly into your DAW while monitoring through an analog amplifier with zero latency. Or send the balanced output to FOH while simultaneously feeding an instrument amplifier on stage.
An internal jumper also allows the balanced signal to be routed to the 1/4" jack, giving you additional flexibility when integrating The Brick into your setup.
Built Without Compromise
The Brick is housed in a compact, rugged chassis combining aluminum and stainless steel.
The front panel features a polished stainless-steel finish, while the top, bottom and rear panels use brushed stainless steel. Every detail is designed to reflect the same philosophy as the circuitry inside: simple, purposeful and built to last.
The Brick operates from a 24 V AC external power supply, which is included.
